Shed Kits.
Your one stop informational resource to build a shed from a kit.
Shed kits are available in almost any style that you desire. Shed kits may have vinyl siding, wood siding, or metal siding. Shed kits may come in a barnstyle, an amish style or a saltbox style. So before choosing a kit consider these important tips:
Things to consider before purchasing a shed kit.
It is important to remember that outdoor storage sheds are not just buildings. Of course they offer functionality but they also impact the overall way that your property is viewed. So choosing a design that is aesthetically compatible with your own house and landscaping is a must if you want to be proud of the whole overall effect.
In this day and age where the cost of living is so high people often consider price as determining factor in their purchases. Of course this is a good thing to do but if a lower price does not provide longetivy than in the end maybe you will end up paying twice. So consider a quality shed and quality sidings such as cedar before making your final decision.
It is always important to consider what will or will not fit into your shed. If you want to store a piece of equipment that is 10 feet wide, you will need to have a shed that is at least this wide and a shed that has double doors.
- Learn about Building Codes and other Restrictions
Before erecting your structure be sure to check with your local permits office regarding building codes and restrictions. It may be that your building has to be a certain distance from the property line and also certain materials may or maynot be acceptable for siding. So give them a quick call before you do something that needs be to undone.ses up against the walls of outdoor storage sheds and adorn the walls with vines.
- Vinyl, Wood, or Metal Siding?
There are pros and cons to all kinds of siding. Over time wood rots so it requires regular maintenance to prevent this and to keep its natural beauty.
On the other hand there is maintenance free vinyl siding that is offered by my shed kits. While they lack the beauty and character of wood if low maintanence is what you are looking for this could be the material for you.
As for metal siding., well we suggest that you stay away from steel storage sheds because of rust but if you choose rust-free aluminum you are good to go. Although metal does not create the best eye appeal it is very durable.
